MONDAY: A short trading week, but potentially with some market moving news, as GDP, including revisions is released on Tuesday. Otherwise, it is still a question of oil, despite some de-coupling last week. Sooner or later, though, attention will return to the usual retail story of Decembers past. TUESDAY: This morning’s GDP report may offer some preliminary sign of what lower energy prices may bring to the economy, as the market in the pre-open futures is adding some to yesterday’s nice gain WEDNESDAY: A half day of trading and markets, as they do 67% of the time on the day before Christmas, are pointing higher to begin the day THURSDAY: MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIDAY: The week looks as if it may continue that consecutive gains streak in the DJIA and may begin that long awaited Santa Claus Rally, as most of the rest of the world’s markets remain closed today.
